Doug & Theresa's Son Zach Short - Afganistan 2011

Zach is a Tech Sgt (E-6), and Crew Chief on the A-10 for the 127th FW, Michigan Air National Guard at Selfridge.  The A-10 he's standing next to is the aircraft he is "offically" assigned to. 

When not in a combat zone, his name, the pilot's, and Zach's assistant's names are stenciled on the fuselage. 

Notice that the aircraft is fully armed with rockets, Hellfire and JDAM bombs, along with the 30mm Gattling gun in the aircraft's nose, which can fire all 1100 rounds in less than one half minute ( they slowed the fire rate down).
