Supporting our troops has always been an integral and essential part of the VVA310 way of life.  Below the pictures are examples of some of the notes we receive from our troopers serving in harms way.

The following was a letter postmarked Dec 8 2010 from a trooper we sent packages.  We did good.  I am sure his feelings in his letter are similar to all the other troopers we sent our early packages to this year.  Thank you all who were able to help out with our Care Package program.

To Everyone Supporting Me,
First off, Merry Christmas!  I expected to have a sad Christmas this year, away from family and friends.  No presents, no Christmas tree, nothing.  Imagine my surprise when I was called into the mail room to pick up all the packages you sent me!  It made me feel very warm and happy inside to know so many people cared enough about me and my unit to do all this.  There was plenty in the boxes for everyone, and they all send their thanks as well.  My favorite thing that you sent me, by far, were all the Christmas cards.  I loved reading them!  I read a few a day because they really brightened my life and made me feel the Christmas spirit.  I apologize for not naming all of you for this next part, but I have a few people I'd like to mention:  Victoria, I loved the snowman and Christmas tree picture.  Conner G., your card with the soldiers with the Santa hats was great!  Finally, to Jackson, Tori, Josh and Trisha:  I loved your "kick butt, come home" message.  It really made me laugh!  To all of you I didn't mention, thanks for everything!  I'd also like to thank Oxford Life Skills and St. Andrew the Apostle Church Monday Bible study group.
In ending, I want you all to know that you have made my Christmas special in a place where it was not.  You've even encouraged me to decorate!  Have a Merry Christmas, all of you, and thanks for bringing me the Christmas Spirit!
Sincerely,
SPC Timothy Helsper
